Various London Venues (40+)
27 to 28 September 2019, 5pm-2am
Emerge is London’s new Lates Festival where Night at the Museum meets Glastonbury. Over two nights this September, Emerge will transform London’s most iconic museums and galleries – from dusk to the early hours – with some of the capital’s most electrifying entertainment, art installations, music and theatre. From electronica DJ sets, underground art collectives and gigs, to roof terrace gin bars, house parties, poetry and sunset silent discos –with one ticket you can access the kaleidoscope of events happening in over 40 venues around the capital.
Mercury Music Prize nominees, Jungle, have just announced an after-hours DJ set at the Natural History Museum and Gilles Peterson’s Breakthrough Act of the Year, Ady Suleiman, will bring his neo-soul melodies to the Horniman’s bandstand, supported by one of NME’s essential artists, Poppy Ajudha.
Also on: Electronica jazzwise band, Ishmael Ensemble at the Design Museum. R’n’B phenomenon, Kate Stewart, in a church. Electronic trio, Benin City, bring the groove to a Victorian warehouse courtyard and a night curated by UK rapper Flohio and Livity featuring Greentea Peng and A2 at the swish Banqueting House. Underground art collectives. A roof terrace gin bar. Sunset silent disco on Tower Bridge…
