Illustration Afloat

Barge Fiodra, a floating art gallery
Moored on the Regent’s Canal at Granary Square
Kings Cross
N1C 4UZ

(next to the Book Barge ‘Word on the Water’)

7th December to 12th December 2018
11am to 6pm every day

Floating art gallery Barge Fiodra presents work from up-and-coming illustrators and young artists. Timed to coincide with the House of Illustration’s Winter Fair, there will be prints, originals, zines, books and more. A riot of beautiful and challenging work selected by young illustrator and exhibition curator Anna Chase-Roberts, who lives and works on board.

Desperate to share their work and dismayed at the cost of exhibiting in central London, young artists are taking to the waterways of the capital. Graduate illustrator Anna Chase-Roberts proposed the idea of a floating gallery, and it’s been taken up enthusiastically by fellow graduates and young artists. “I didn’t take long to come up with a plan and enough young artists to fill the barge.”

Fiodra will be moored near Granary Square in Kings Cross next to the wonderful floating bookshop ‘Word on the Water’.

The artists are:

RJ Allen
Sarah Vines
Dom Culverwell
Jess Jolliffe
Ruth Pickard
Liam Rawlins
