James Hyman Gallery
This online sale runs from 29 March to 30 April 2020
James Hyman Gallery is hosting an online fundraising sale of photographs, paintings and prints, with all profits donated to the National Health Service. Artists such as Henry Moore, Bill Brandt, Andy Warhol, Eduardo Paolozzi and Marc Quinn are available to buy at reduced prices, ranging from £550 for an Alex Katz woodcut on paper to £22,000 for a Bill Brandt print. As James Hyman’s wife, Dr. Claire Hyman, works as a surgeon for the NHS, James is looking to support NHS Hospital staff who are fighting Covid19 by providing funds for NHS Royal Free Hospital Covid19 appeal.
Dr. James Hyman, said:
As everyone pulls together at this time of crisis I have been thinking what I can do as an art dealer. I do feel very helpless but want to do all I can to help. So the gallery has put together a selection of paintings, drawings, sculpture, prints and photographs, at reduced prices, and will donate all profits to the National Health Service.
Dr. Claire Hyman, said:
As a surgeon working in the NHS, I know how tough it is for all the staff at the moment who are working incredibly long hours under immense pressure. James wanted to do something to help and this initiative as well as the generous support of collectors will be really appreciated.
