The Art of Sounds is an art exhibition and party curated by West London artist J King, DJ Chad Alexander and international lighting designer Conor Morrison, celebrating the synthesis between sound and vision through art. The creative trio select London’s most sought after artists to display genre influenced pieces and participate in a live drawing in response to a specific genre of music.

The Art of Sounds will be hosting their 8th event at the newly built Elephant West venue in White City. The 7 day exhibition will be initiated with an opening party on Friday 21st February, where guests can expect an immersive experience featuring art, music, live drawings and sensory rooms themed around Slow Jams music.

Artists including Mia Koko, KirzArt, Joseph Ijoyemi, Lena Galore, Olivia Rose and Stylianna will showcase their most sensual Slow Jams inspired work across the venue. This event’s mural created by Solomon Gamra, ArtSoulChild, Mamamanvz, Zeph Arts and Erika Guanzon using Posca Pens and sipping on chilled Jagermeister, whilst DJ Levels plays the greatest Slow Jams track of all time as they draw what they hear.

The Art of Sounds team will continue to push boundaries with The Art of Slow Jams, as they introduce sensory rooms to enhance the experience of the night, by manipulating guests’ senses to explore the relationship between the auditory and visual segments of the sensory nervous system.

Attendees can also expect to find a Slow Jams themed photobooth room curated by women led creative agency Public Ambition, giving guests the opportunity to explore their own creativity and replicate iconic Slow Jams album, with props every R’n’B King and Queen had in the 90s and early 2000s. From flip phones, puffer jackets to gold chains. A panel will be appointed to select a winner for the best album cover, crowning the King and/or Queen of The Art of Slow Jams 2020.

The evening is guaranteed to be the art event of the year and definitely one you don’t want to miss.
